Manager, Legal & Counsel
Deskripsi Pekerjaan
- Providing legal advice to the company’s stakeholders regarding its business activities and corporate structure
- Ensuring the company has obtained its necessary licences and has maintained validity of its licenses
- Provide legal assistance with regards to contracts including in drafting, negotiating, and managing dispute
- Managing and supervise team members
- Establishing connection with any relevant stakeholders, including government institutions (minimum in the territory of where) and business association (such as logistics and e-commerce associations)
- Assist business, operation, and senior management team members with strategic planning for known and potential regulatory activities related to the business and industry
- Compiling, checking, and identifying licensing requirements in company
- Propose ideas and hypotheses on existing, emerging, and potential public policy issues based on identification, tracking, and research
- Collaborate with company business and operational team members to determine business impact and developing strategic and tactical plans to manage issues both internally and externally
- Collaborates with industry advocates to build areas of common interest
- Collaborate with operational team to manage the company’s risk of non-compliance and being responsible for the impact of non-compliance
Kualifikasi
- Have minimum 3 -5 years of experience in a reputable law firm or multinational company (FMCG or pharmaceutical or retails is preferable)
- Have a license of PERADI
- Have extensive experience in government affairs and government relation of tech company or logistics start-up (e.g. GOJEK and Grab) or ex-government officer
- Understanding the legislative process
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proven logistics, e-commerce, and retails knowledge
- Good in working independently or as a team player
- Able to give judgement between compliance and commercial aspects
- Creative, innovative, and fast-learner with adapting and resilience ability
- Able to work under pressure with tight deadline
- High lobbying and analytical skills
- Able to multitasking and make a quick yet accurate decision
- Strong logical thinking with outgoing and self-driven personality
